If planning to wear shorts in a business capacity keep the following in mind.
- Dress shorts should ideally sit 1-3 in (3-8 cm) above the knee. Any shorter and they are becoming more casual and sporting
- Shorts worn below the knee can make you look like a schoolboy unless you are wearing a fashion-forward outfit. Or you are living in the tropics, at which point, you do not want your shorts lower than your calves.
- Dress shorts are best worn with an espadrille or a loafer if wearing no socks, or a knee-high sock with white lace-up sports shoe.
